RESTORATIVE PROSTHETICS · LINCOLN

Restoring more than what was lost.

Bespoke silicone nipple and areola prosthetics, individually handcrafted and colour matched by Tara at Face Facts.

For those navigating life after breast cancer, surgery or trauma, restorative prosthetics offer another choice — created with artistry, precision and genuine care.

There is no pressure to decide today. Sometimes the first step is simply understanding your options.

OUR PURPOSE

Face Facts isn’t simply about beauty.

It’s about restoring confidence, identity and self-expression. Whether through restorative prosthetics, permanent makeup, wigs or specialist treatments, everything we do is centred around one purpose: helping people feel more like themselves.

RESTORATIVE PROSTHETICS

A deeply personal form of restoration.

Sometimes restoration is about something that seems small to everyone else, but means everything to you.

A silicone nipple and areola prosthetic is a realistic, wearable alternative for people who have lost or altered a nipple through mastectomy, breast surgery, top surgery or trauma.

Each piece is created to look and feel natural, with careful attention given to shape, tone, texture and detail.

For some people, prosthetics are a temporary step. For others, they are the option that feels right long term. Some people choose tattooing, some choose prosthetics, some choose both and some choose neither.

There is no right answer. Only the choice that feels right for you.

WHY IT MATTERS

It isn’t simply about how you look.
It’s about how you feel when you look at yourself.

01

Confidence

Feeling more comfortable in your body again, in a way that is personal to you.

02

Choice

Tattooing, prosthetics, both or neither. You deserve to understand every option without pressure.

03

Identity

Restoration that helps you reconnect with yourself, on your terms and at your own pace.

No rushing. No pressure. No expectations. Just options.

MADE BY HAND · MADE BY TARA

Someone genuinely cares about every detail.

Every prosthetic that leaves my studio has been made, colour matched and finished by me.

I’m Tara, and for over 25 years I’ve helped people rebuild confidence through restorative artistry and permanent makeup.

I know this can be an emotional journey. My role is never to rush or persuade you. It is simply to listen, guide and help you discover what feels right for you.

Every consultation is private, relaxed and centred around your individual needs. Every prosthetic is individually handcrafted because no two people — and no two stories — are ever the same.

“Restoration isn’t about creating perfection. It’s about helping you feel more like yourself again.”

THE MAKING PROCESS

Handcrafted. From beginning to end.

The process is as individual as the person it is being created for. From the first conversation to the final fitting, every stage is handled personally by Tara.

01

Listen

A private conversation about you, your journey and what you would like.

02

Match

Pigments are carefully blended to complement your individual skin tone.

03

Mould

Where appropriate, a mould can preserve your own unique shape before surgery.

04

Create

Each prosthetic is individually formed, coloured and finished by hand.

05

Fit

Your prosthetic is fitted with guidance on wearing, adhesive and aftercare.

PRE-SURGERY MOULDING

Preserve something uniquely yours.

Where circumstances allow, Tara can take a mould before surgery, preserving your own natural shape for the future.

You do not have to decide what happens next straight away.

Your mould can be safely kept until the time feels right — whether that is weeks, months or years later.

Unlike areola and nipple tattooing, which Tara generally recommends waiting 6–12 months for following surgery, prosthetics may be considered much sooner depending on healing and individual circumstances.

For many people, the mould becomes more than a cast. It becomes part of their story.

THE MAKING OF

The craft behind every detail.

Not a factory product. Not pulled from a shelf. Each piece is shaped by a real person, for a real person.

01 / COLOUR

No two skin tones are the same.

Colour is built carefully, using pigments selected and blended to create a natural result that belongs to you.

02 / FORM

Preserving shape and detail.

Where a personal mould is available, even the smallest details can become part of the finished piece.

03 / CRAFT

The human touch matters.

Every layer, tone and edge is considered by Tara. It is this care that makes each finished prosthetic personal rather than simply a product.

QUESTIONS

The things you might not know who to ask.

There is no such thing as a silly question. Your consultation is a safe place to ask anything you need to know.

They are attached using hypoallergenic medical-grade adhesive. Different adhesive options are available depending on the type of wear required. A patch test should be carried out before using a new adhesive.

Yes. Many clients remove them at night, although some adhesive options allow them to be worn for 5–7 days at a time depending on your skin, healing and individual circumstances.

Yes. The silicone itself is completely waterproof. With an appropriate adhesive, a prosthetic can remain securely in place during bathing.

Non-toxic silicone products are used to create the prosthetics. Adhesive suitability and patch testing can be discussed during your consultation, particularly if you have sensitive skin.

Definitely. They can create a natural shape beneath delicate underwear and clothing and can also be used with a silicone insert.

They can last a long time when cared for correctly. Tara will explain how to protect the delicate edges and look after your prosthetic during your fitting and aftercare guidance.

Use the corresponding adhesive remover and work gently around the edges. Never pull the prosthetic quickly away from the skin, as this can damage the delicate edges and irritate the skin. Clean using warm water and a mild soap, allow it to air dry and store it in the box provided or in clean, dry conditions.
